Evan's Music Muse

 For more than a decade Saxophonist/Composer Evan Tate has provided an original voice in the european jazz scene.

With such formations as the “Munich Saxophone Family”, Joe Malinga’s “Southern Africa Force”, Hermann Breuer’s “Blue Bone”, Joris Dudli’s “New York Propjekt” and “Funktett”, Wolfgang Schmid’s “Manaus”, “The New Doug Hammond Trio”, “Legacy” or the “Manhattan Symphony Orchestra” he has proven himself to be a valuable sideman and soloist.

With his own projects Spherical and Hittin’ Hard, he continues to display his vision of playing and creating new music for the present age based on jazz tradition.

Evan Tate has also made appearances in Austrian and German radio concerts.

Since 1993 Evan Tate is an Endorser for Julius Keilwerth saxophones.

Since 2006 Evan Tate is a Faculty member at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich (Hochschule für Musik und Theater München).
